I have compared this bone conduction headset side-by-side with "SHOKZ OpenComm2 UC - Bone Conduction Bluetooth Stereo Computer Headset with Boom Mic" as well as with a Jabra STEALTH tiny in-ear headset.
I have conducted a call with someone else, switching headsets and the other caller could not tell the difference between the headset call quality as well as the noise cancellation. I tried playing background music, being in the same room as the washing machine, and running the sink.
First off, the bone conduction implementation takes a second to get used to, but not long it was comfortable. If you want to isolate the sound, it comes with a nice set of silicone earplugs you can use to not have to hear other sounds, but I prefer without the plugs for things like running and biking where I have to be aware of my surroundings.
In regard to call quality...
With the Jabra, other caller could hear pretty much everything I could hear no matter where I was standing. With both the Shokz and the M100V, the other caller could only hear when directly standing in front of the noise or when I was close to the speakers. Much much better than the Jabra Stealth. But the other caller could not tell the difference between the two. As far as my experience, I really feel no difference in comfort between the two bone conduction headsets. Calls and music quality are both equally great. This unit also has a mute functionality by holding the volume down button for 2 seconds while on a call. Same thing to unmute. This is key for me when walking away from the PC oh having the phone in my pocket. Went for a run with the M100V as well, and it stay in place and had no issues with moving around.
All around 5 stars, a great bone conduction headset and highly recommend!
